About me
I am Cristina Dana Repede, a dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Public Policy Expert with over 14 years of experience in international development programs. My career has been devoted to using evaluation and evidence to inform policies that bring tangible change to people’s lives.
My expertise includes providing technical support to governments in areas such as EU pre-accession policy, governmental program evaluation, rural development, and early childhood development. I have developed M&E systems in the Balkans, created evaluation methodologies, and led capacity-building initiatives. My work with organizations like the European Commission, UNICEF, WFP, and WWF has involved conducting mid-term and ex-post evaluations to enhance program outcomes.
I have had the privilege of working across diverse regions, including the EU, Western Balkans, and the Caribbean, adapting to various cultural and political environments to deliver impactful results. A significant focus of my work is on gender-sensitive and inclusive evaluations, integrating gender perspectives to address inequalities.
I am committed to institutionalizing evaluation within governments, embedding systematic processes to ensure continuous improvement and accountability. This approach fosters a culture of learning and adaptation, leading to better decision-making and organizational effectiveness. I hold a Master's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation (MABLE) from the University of Saarbrucken, Germany, and a Master's degree in Anthropology from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium.
